Quickening Moon Arising Monday 2/25/13

Monday 2/25/13 @ 3:26pm marks the Virgo Full Moon that is known as a Quickening Moon. In pregnancy terms, quickening is the moment in pregnancy when the mother starts to feel or perceive fetal movements in the uterus. Just like a prenatal mother, we may begin to feel urges arising for new projects, new desires and now is the time to set your plans. For a full moon ritual, I suggest writing your goals over this Quickening Moon phase. We are also entering Mercury Retrograde, which is nothing to fear, but a great time for reflection, meditation and regrouping. Get out that bulletin board and create a vision board of what you want to manifest in 2013, this is a very powerful seed planting time. In the Fall, you can reflect back on the goals you have set during the Quickening Full Moon & see if any of them came to harvest!

Good things come to those who wait…

never enough time in the day!

Fall is for some reason, our busiest Massage season.

Maybe it is because with that first chill in the air, everyone’s bodies start to twinge, joints begin to ache and exhaustion sets in.

The body says, “hey remember me? can I get a massage now?”

In Seattle, in particular, I think we tend to neglect getting massages in the Summer because the weather is great and we’re just not feeling the need.  Then Fall, everyone I haven’t heard from in months comes in and we are booked, booked, booked!  I wish Massage was more like Pizzas and we could just keep making them, but unfortunately there are only so many slots in a day.   Especially if the day is a Saturday, the most popular massage day of the week.

So hopefully, you will plan ahead and know that good things do come to those who wait!

As I always tell clients who call on Saturday afternoon, hoping to get in same day, the truth is if you could find a massage therapist who had an opening on a Saturday afternoon, same day, it probably would not be worth your time or your money because most of the really talented massage therapist I know are always booked out on Saturdays!  I know how it goes, I have done the same thing with a haircut, trying desperately to get in last minute because I have put it off too long and my hair needs it right now.  However you really do get a better service when you think ahead, schedule ahead.  I always joke that this is why I have 90% female clients and the 10% of males I have are married to those females.  It is because men are worse about planning ahead, they tend to call for same day appointments which I rarely have.  Females tend to be better about booking out.

Speaking of booking out, remember that the Fall Back seems to comes a bit later this Season, Sunday November 4th 2012.

Harvest Full Moon in Aries, let the Reiki begin!

Harvest Full Moon Aries 2012

Happy Harvest Full Moon in Aries.

This is a breakthrough and begin again kind of Full Moon as Mars (the planet of Aries) is found in the sign of

Scorpio (transformation).  Scorpio also rules over reproduction, so this will be a very fertile moon.  The moon will be full at 11:19 pm for us in the Northwest.  Lots of intense, fiery energy with this moon, have you had any trouble sleeping?

For me, this Harvest Full Moon will be spent teaching a Reiki 1 class to 5 inspired students.  I love to do Reiki Attunements on a Full Moon, such a powerful ritual!

Saturn will also be in Scorpio next week (as a Scorpio myself, I’m thrilled!)  Saturn will ask us to deal with the big issues of life, death, sex, power and our internal stuff! It will be a busy Fall for sure.

There is a lot of creative fire with an Aries Full Moon, but look out for anger and head injuries, Aries biggest downfalls.

A day at the Beach!

Or as they say, “a bad day fishing is still better than any day working…”

Have you ever heard that if you look at a Full Blue Moon, you will see Marilyn Monroe’s face?  I don’t know why this is, but I have seen it!  I am so excited for this Pisces Full Blue moon, as I have a Pisces moon myself.  Pisces full moons are always wonderful for intuition, dreaming, healing and strong emotions.  This Pisces Blue moon seems extra powerful, a time to be near water, listen to the roaring of the ocean or ripples of a stream, quiet of a lake.  Talk to a fish, gain insight, wisdom and grace.  This is a powerful time to transform your inner being, be the change you wish to see!  Have gratitude for the abundance in your life, I wish you enough.  Savor these last moments of Summer, camp out under the Full moon if you can or just go for a moonlit stroll.  Pisces is the most romantic of the signs…

Pisces also loves free time, down time, so I took this weekend off for some ME time before schedules get really busy with School starting and the Fall busy-ness.  There is a sense of wanting to do whatever you want to do with Pisces Moons, so I hope if you couldn’t take the day off, you could at least leave the office early while the boss wasn’t looking.  Or sneak in a walk or some time for reflection.  It’s that sense of skipping school to go to the beach one last time before final exams.  This is perfectly aligned with a 3 day, Labor Day weekend to do just what you want to do!  Please savor the weekend, make it all about what you want to do, not necessarily what you need to get done.  I just got a brand new puppy, so I hope to have lots of play time at the beach, with some responsibility mixed in.

This Full Moon sets up an eat dessert first kind of weekend!

This Full Moon is also about abundance, with Jupiter playing a strong role, look for new opportunities for success, wealth and manifesting your goals.  One of the best ways to manifest more, is by being grateful for what you already have.  Make a gratitude list in your journal, realize you already have enough. I wish you enough!  You encompass all you desire, you are receiving it now.  Give thanks to the Creator,  then focus on what you would like to add to that gratitude list in the future.
